In a world of rules and constant pressure, the cycling club gives them the opportunity to explore and be free. They can go places they never dreamed and pursue new opportunities. These kids look forward to riding each and every week and with this donation they are able to do just that.\r\nCycling has taught them values such as teamwork, perseverance, respect and responsibility. Teamwork by preparing for the ride and using safety signals and gestures, respect for cars, other cyclist and pedestrians, perseverance through the ride accomplished that day, and responsibility through maintaining ones owns bicycle and equipment. In our club we emphasize community service and experiences in art and science, so the students are able to learn the mechanics of the bike as well as participate in the art car and bike parade. \r\nFor these students, cycling is their therapy, and it helps them cope, learn, adapt and overcome life's challenges.
