The new xylophones have quickly become an essential part of our daily lessons. We've been learning about solfege patterns and using the instruments to bring those notes to life. Each lesson now feels like a mini concert as students explore melodies, practice patterns, and discover how music connects us all.\r\n\r\nWhen the xylophones first arrived, I turned it into a special moment for my first graders. We held an unboxing day, and their reaction was unforgettable, wide eyes, big smiles, and pure joy. These instruments have given them the tools and confidence to create, collaborate, and truly hear the music they're making. Your contribution didn't just provide instruments; it opened the door for endless creativity and joyful learning in our music room.","fullyFundedDate":1752586332786,"projectUrl":"project/keys-to-creativity-xylophones-for-k-8-m/9296701/","projectTitle":"Keys to Creativity: Xylophones for K-8 Musicians","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Airee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6606639_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x320,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1588769663125","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6606639"},{"teacherId":9608869,"projectId":9019594,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations toward my \"fun with games\" project. Those that were struggling with telling time, now have a better understanding of how to accomplish it due to these clocks that they can manipulate. \r\n Having the board games available to my students have been so helpful and they have been used so much. Thanks to your donations, my students were able to engage in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that brought Newton's Laws to life in ways they never imagined!\r\nThe excitement in the room was undeniable when they first saw the materials—especially the sensor carts and lab equipment. Many students had never worked with real scientific tools like these before, and their enthusiasm to investigate force, mass, and acceleration was incredible. \r\nWith your support, we conducted a multi-lesson investigation where students designed and tested their own experiments to explore how mass affects acceleration. They collected and analyzed real data, applied Newton's Second Law, and even used their findings to design safer vehicle systems in a STEM-based crash simulation.
