My project is centered around student engagement using technology. We live in a technology-based society filled with incredible learning opportunities. Teaching using technology is a necessary for students to build content knowledge in a fun and engaging way. The students in my classroom will benefit from Flocabulary when we introduce crucial topics in our curriculum. This will create background knowledge that will create a pathway for future learning. The QBall will give students an opportunity to use their voice in the classroom and lead strong class discussions, which will build on the background knowledge they already have, and immerse students into the content. Finally, the document camera will provide students with an opportunity to see live examples demonstrated in the classroom from any seat in the room with connection to our classroom projector. This will provide students with a visual example of a task, and allow for greater confidence and understanding while completing the modeled task.
