The materials arrived very quickly and were immediately put to use! \r\n\r\nMy students have been very happy to have more gel pens for writing. I always give them the choice between a pencil and a gel pen when it is time for creative writing or spelling tests, and 9 out of 10 times, they choose the gel pens. \r\n\r\nThe games have been huge hit. The Blah Blah Blah card game is just like UNO, only with phonics instead of numbers and colors. Students have begged me to let them play the game during class time, and ask to be invited to \"lunch bunch\" so they can play the game more often. Their automatic decoding skills have definitely improved as a result. \r\n\r\nI have brought out the Chinese jumpropes and jacks and tiddlywinks a few times already, and the students are eager to use them more as well. I know we will continue to play with these \"hands on\" games in the coming months during indoor recess and special reward times. They were confused at first because they didn't understand that they could just grab the equipment & go. They didn't need to ask me for permission. \r\nThe next project I did was called \"racquet sports for P.E.\". I was able to receive a net so that we can play racquet sports like tennis, badminton & pickleball. The students are excited to say the least.
