Our school is in a high poverty area where kids/families are more worried about buying groceries and having a roof over their heads. School supplies are often out of reach to be able to purchase for the school year. As a result, teachers at my school have to buy our students' school supplies. We have a small amount of funds (given to us by our school), that oftentimes does not cover all the basic supplies we need.
