Your generosity provided the new materials that made our CBM Dance Winter Showcase a successful and memorable experience for every student!\r\n\r\nWe used the new materials to create costumes and stage props. The supplies allowed us to give each performer a polished, cohesive look and to design simple set pieces that elevated the whole performance.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were overjoyed — excited, proud, and amazed that costumes were possible. Their confidence soared as they rehearsed in full costume, and the extra care in presentation helped them take greater ownership of their performance. The excitement alone was rewarding to see.\r\n\r\nNext, we're planning another performance in May where students will apply what they learn this semester: choreography refinement, collaborative set-building, and leadership roles in production. The materials you provided will continue to support rehearsals and costume needs for that showcase.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your support. Because of you, students experienced the power of creative expression, teamwork, and pride in their work. Thank you for investing in our classroom and in our students' opportunities to shine.","fullyFundedDate":1759535437390,"projectUrl":"project/dance-showcase-costume-fund/9764842/","projectTitle":"Dance Showcase Costume Fund","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Starace","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10179235_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y153&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759158435497","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10179235"},{"teacherId":9128672,"projectId":9646675,"letterContent":"When our new comfortable seating arrived, my students were absolutely thrilled. The very first day, I had several students rush over to claim a spot, and the excitement on their faces said it all. Many of them commented on how cozy and inviting the library felt, and even students who don't usually linger after checking out a book chose to stay, read, and relax. One of my favorite moments was during a group reading project—students naturally gathered in the new chairs to share their books and ideas, making the discussion feel less like an assignment and more like a fun conversation among friends.\r\n\r\nSince then, the seating has become a favorite part of our library. We use it for independent reading, small group work, and even as a calming area for students who need a quiet space during the day. I've noticed more engagement during reading time and even seen reluctant readers choosing to pick up a book because the environment feels welcoming. The comfort of the new seating has truly transformed how students view our library—it's not just a place to check out books, but a place they want to be.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our students are diving into a book club project where they'll read and discuss novels in small groups. The new seating will give them a space to gather comfortably, fostering collaboration and deeper conversations. Having these resources has created an atmosphere where students not only learn but also connect with one another, and I can't wait to see how their reading discussions grow in this new, inviting space.","fullyFundedDate":1756940214951,"projectUrl":"project/the-cozy-cobra-project-flexible-seating/9646675/","projectTitle":"The Cozy Cobra Project: Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dunn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9128672"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_103362","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1464,"numTeachers":55,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":58,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"26.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.2,"schoolId":103362,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cane Bay Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cane Bay Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/berkeley-county-school-district/cane-bay-middle-school/103362"}
