The materials I am requesting for this project will inspire my students to become better writers, but will also give a better understanding of instruction. Authors, AKA students, like to share their marvelous story's that they have created during writers workshop. My students' work can be displayed on my SmartBoard for all my students' to see at the end or writing workshop, if I had a document camera. Not only will this make our "share" more meaningful and exciting to my students, having a document camera will make whole group instruction so much more clear! For example, completing text analysis activities would be much less foggy if I could display the exact document they had on their clip boards. I would walk my students through and do it with them, but my students would have a much clearer understanding if they could see exactly what I am modeling for them on a document camera.
