The impact of your generosity will continue throughout the entire school year as each of my classes moves into our stop-motion animation projects. We are beyond excited to have better-quality equipment, more tools to work with, and a wider variety of materials and colors to choose from as students bring their ideas to life.\r\n\r\nFor some of my students, this will be their fourth year working with stop-motion animation, while others will be experiencing it for the first time. This has become a part of our program that grows right along with us. Each year, as I gain more knowledge and my students gain more experience, we add another layer to what we are able to do. Last year was our first year incorporating sound into our films, and we have also been experimenting with armatures to create characters that can move and hold their positions more effectively. The tools provided through this project will make that process much smoother and give students more freedom to experiment, revise, and improve their work.\r\n\r\nWhat I love most is knowing that the impact of this project will continue well beyond a single lesson or even a single school year. While some of the materials will be used as students create their projects this year, the tools and equipment will become a lasting part of our stop-motion program. Future students will be able to build on what we've already learned and continue finding new ways to tell stories through animation.
