Your contribution has brought joy and essential support to our classroom, ensuring our young learners are fueled and ready to engage in daily learning activities.\r\nWith these quick snacks or fruit cups, my students can focus on learning which significantly reduces distractions during our afternoon lessons. (The students have lunch at 10:55am and the school day ends at 3pm.) The addition of new dry erase markers has been a game-changer for our small group work; the children are excited to practice writing letters, numbers, and drawing on their whiteboards every day.\r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness, compassion, and investment in the futures of these young children. We use the headsets daily for use with the Amira platform. Amira is an online reading tutorial that adjust to the ability of the student. It actively listens to the students as they learn to read. Before this project, we were dependent upon the Chromebooks' microphones. This made it very difficult for one student's voice to be picked up amongst his/her classmates. Now that we have microphoned headsets, we don't need as much space for the student's voices to be picked up. This also helps with the learning volume inside the room.\r\nWe continue to use the dry erase markers as the children are learning proper letter formation (for lowercase \"small and tall\" letters). Having the eraser at the end of the markers is especially helpful too. These simple but powerful tools have opened up so many learning opportunities. With the headphones, students are able to fully engage in reading programs, phonics games, and language activities without distraction. They can focus on their own pace, hear directions clearly, and build confidence as independent learners. Technology is such an important part of their daily learning, and your support has ensured they can access it successfully.\r\n\r\nWhat excites the students most is being able to \"find their own voice.\" Whether recording themselves reading aloud or listening closely to stories, they light up when they hear how much they are growing. One student who was shy about reading now loves practicing with the headphones, because she feels more comfortable listening and repeating until she's ready to share aloud with the class. These small moments of growth are adding up to big changes in confidence and skills.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made a lasting difference in our classroom.
