Students now wear lanyards for their lunch tickets and QR sign-in codes, helping our routines run more smoothly and giving them a sense of responsibility and independence. The clipboards have allowed students to write while using flexible seating or working around the room, making learning more engaging and accessible. Privacy boards have been especially helpful during assessments, allowing students to focus and feel confident in their work. Most importantly, the snacks ensure that students who come without one are still able to learn without the distraction of hunger.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were genuinely shocked and excited—they could not believe that someone they didn't even know cared enough to provide all of this for our classroom. These resources have made a meaningful difference in both our learning and classroom culture. Seeing the impact has inspired our next steps, including a new project to give our classroom library a much-needed makeover. With updated books, we hope to continue building an equitable environment where students feel supported academically, emotionally, and personally every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1729203292080,"projectUrl":"project/see-a-need-fill-a-need/8703081/","projectTitle":"See a Need, Fill a Need!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. McCord","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9577539_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719416592927","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9577539"},{"teacherId":4474343,"projectId":9230521,"letterContent":"Our students enter the school library full of curiosity and excitement, ready to explore stories and discover new worlds. Many of our youngest readers are still developing the foundational skills needed for reading success. Learning to read involves more than recognizing letters—it also depends on visual tracking, focus, and attention to detail.\r\n\r\nThe seek-and-find books funded through this project have quickly become some of the most loved titles in our library. Students are drawn to their colorful pages and the challenge of finding hidden pictures. As they search, they strengthen their observation skills, improve visual discrimination, and practice persistence—all essential building blocks for literacy.\r\n\r\nThese books have also inspired joyful collaboration. It's common to see students gathered around a book, working together to find hidden objects and celebrating each discovery. For many reluctant or emerging readers, these books provide an accessible, confidence-building entry point into reading. They are learning that books can be fun, engaging, and rewarding—all while developing key reading skills.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our library now offers a collection that helps every child—especially those who need extra support—build the focus and stamina needed for reading success. You've helped transform our library into a place where early readers can strengthen their skills, grow their confidence, and discover that reading truly is an adventure.","fullyFundedDate":1746570344315,"projectUrl":"project/i-spy-a-reader-building-literacy-throug/9230521/","projectTitle":"I Spy a Reader: Building Literacy Through Seek-and-Find Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bones","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4474343_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1495925406009","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4474343"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17904","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":223,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":75,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":17904,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about C.L.
