This summer, the high school got Apple TVs for connecting our computers to our projectors, as well as an extra monitor to connect to our computers. The iPad connects seamlessly to the projector and, with the Apple Pencil, allows me to be mobile around the room! You can see in the picture that I am using the iPad and Apple Pencil to annotate a Google Slide for my students while taking notes. The freedom to walk around is so helpful for being able to make sure that all students are getting what they need, rather than relying on what I can see/hear from my teacher podium. \r\n\r\nThe iPad and Apple Pencil is also super helpful for teaching two levels in the same period. With the new monitor and Apple TV, I can have my computer projecting to the monitor and the iPad projecting to the projector, so that both groups of students can see their separate instructions/notes/etc. for the period. It will allow me to work with one group on the projector, while keeping up materials or instructions for the other group. \r\n\r\nI am so excited to find other ways to incorporate the iPad and Apple Pencil into my teaching to keep students engaged and reach all students. Thank you so much for your support to make this happen.","fullyFundedDate":1778118028219,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-bit-of-tech-a-whole-lot-of-deu/10247389/","projectTitle":"A Little Bit of Tech, a Whole Lot of Deutsch!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Finkbeiner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8482232_orig.png?crop=601,601,x306,y204&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1777643217015","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/frau-finkbeiner"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_69500","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1363,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":23,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":6,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"25.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.3,"schoolId":69500,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Byron Center High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Byron Center High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/byron-center-public-school-district/byron-center-high-school/69500"}
