Your generousity is bringing an important and meaningful resource into my classroom. This book helps teach students how to handle the ups and downs of adolescence with more awareness, confidence, resilience, and hope. It speaks directly to one of the biggest challenges many young people face: the constant stream of negative self-talk and self-doubt that can make them question who they are and what they are capable of. I am especially excited about how relatable this book is. It was written by teenagers for teenagers. Students don't feel like they are being lectured by adults who don't understand what they are going through. Instead, they hear from other teenagers navigating similar struggles - making the lessons feel real. It helps them feel seen, understood, and encouraged. \r\n In PATHWAYS, we talk about career interests, create resumes, look at college options, and optional future plans. But we also help students develop the emotional and mental tools they need to thrive in a complicated world. This book fits so well into our class. Thank you for investing in the mental health and confidence of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1773844002801,"projectUrl":"project/turning-up-the-volume-on-your-new-playl/10127322/","projectTitle":"Turning Up the Volume on \"Your New Playlist\"","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shawky","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10455296"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_110877","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":172,"numTeachers":97,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":51,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"1.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":96.3,"schoolId":110877,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Burleson Collegiate High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Burleson Collegiate High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/burleson-independent-school-district/burleson-collegiate-high-school/110877"}
