Your generosity has already changed the way my students are able to work and learn together.\r\n\r\nThe trays have quickly become one of the most useful tools in our classroom. During lessons on the carpet, students now have a sturdy surface to write and work on while still sitting close to our anchor charts, posters, and other resources. One of my favorite moments happened during a recent math lesson. Instead of being limited to working only with the classmates sitting nearby, students were able to move their trays and sit beside different partners to solve problems together. It created so many wonderful conversations as students explained their thinking and helped one another.\r\n\r\nWhen the trays first arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate. The students couldn't wait to try them and loved choosing from the different bright colors. My class truly enjoys opportunities to work outside of their desks, and the trays give them the freedom to learn in new ways while still having the space they need for their materials.\r\n\r\nAnother unexpected benefit has been how versatile the trays are. Because they can also be used as stools, they give students another seating option during circle time when sitting on the floor is not comfortable or possible. This has helped make our classroom more flexible and welcoming for everyone.\r\n\r\nRight now we are using the trays most often during math lessons on the carpet, where students can easily write, draw models, and collaborate with classmates. In the coming weeks, I am excited to begin using them during book circles so students can gather together with their books and share their ideas as readers.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students new ways to work together, stay engaged, and feel comfortable while learning. Your support has truly made a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1764725596228,"projectUrl":"project/tray-tables-for-terrific-thinkers/9897543/","projectTitle":"Tray Tables for Terrific Thinkers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Truitt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8488412_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657986752238","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8488412"},{"teacherId":8488412,"projectId":9891202,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and helping us create a cozy and motivating reading environment for our students. Your generosity has brought so much excitement and comfort to our daily reading time.\r\n\r\nThe new cushions have quickly become a favorite part of our classroom. Students use them during independent reading time, and they love choosing a comfortable spot where they can settle in with a good book. One especially memorable moment happened recently when students were allowed to bring a stuffed animal to school. Seeing them sitting on their colorful cushions, reading to their stuffed animals, was such a joyful sight. They were completely absorbed in their books, and the room was full of quiet focus and smiles.\r\n\r\nWhen the cushions first arrived, the students were thrilled by all the bright colors and couldn't wait to try them out. Their excitement grew even more when they learned about the reading prizes. Right away, students began setting personal goals for how many minutes they would read at home. The prizes have become a wonderful way to encourage students to build strong reading habits beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, the cushions will continue to be part of many literacy activities in our classroom. Students will use them during book talks, partner reading, and other discussions that help them share ideas and grow as readers. These flexible seating options are helping create a welcoming space where students feel comfortable, engaged, and excited about reading.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students these special opportunities to enjoy books and strengthen their love of reading. Since restocking the machine with student picks and favorites, donated by you, interest has been sparked and students are eager to earn their prizes! I hear chatter between students about which books pique their interest the most, which ones they can't wait to get, or what they need to finish their personal collections.\r\nI remind students that they can earn 35 Dojo Points (for good choices and behavior) to purchase a coin. Students are very motivated to earn more points, and truthfully this has helped with management in the cafeteria for fourth graders. All classes want to line up quietly and earn an extra Dojo Point! \r\nAdditionally, every Friday one student from each grade level is selected (via teacher nomination) to receive a BEAR award and book coin. You can tell by the smiles on their faces that these students can't wait to go home and share their new book with their families. Rewarding students with highly desirable books is something our school prides itself upon.\r\nOur school is truly excited and humbled by your generous donation, and we are excited to keep the books disappearing!","fullyFundedDate":1763475379856,"projectUrl":"project/the-case-of-the-disappearing-books/9713549/","projectTitle":"The Case of the Disappearing Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Arenella","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6703630_orig.jpg?crop=1055,1055,x520,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769650689622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6703630"},{"teacherId":8488412,"projectId":7589323,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for believing in our project and supporting our young learners.
