It instantly transformed our organization, making our space look cleaner, less cluttered, and more functional for focused 1st-grade work. The classroom truly looks much better now! We are actively using the colorful bins, which give each student a dedicated spot for their personal materials—fostering responsibility and teaching them organizational skills.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, the new cushions have made our classroom library a truly inviting, comfortable space. Just last week, during our independent reading time, the students eagerly grabbed their cushions, found a cozy spot, and settled in to explore new books. This simple addition has dramatically improved their engagement and stamina during quiet reading time. The goodies also continue to be a fantastic motivator for those who are reaching their learning goals!\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Our Learners\r\nBecause of the enhanced organization and comfort your donation provided, we are making excellent progress on our foundational skills. Our next step is to leverage this positive, focused momentum by starting a new creative writing unit. It's hard for me to always do them due to the need of basic supplies. This project helped to ensure we had some basic needs for the upcoming months. When we are unable to provide hands on materials for them, we can't expect them to think critically. Sony children use technology for hours a day and so I am trying to compete with 30 second videos. Technology is rewiring minds and I am trying to help grow the part of their brains that think cognitively, and critically. I was unsure this project would be funded due to the cost, but thanks to you and the matched donation we have the table in our classroom.
