My students learn so much about social-emotional development through the stories we read together. The books I've selected for this project cover a wide range of topics that will allow me to better meet the social and emotional needs of all my students through the comprehensive school counseling program. Additionally, the sensory and expressive tools included in this project are excellent outlets for young students as they work through their feelings and learn new, healthier ways of coping with anxiety, frustration, and anger. By contributing to this project, you are actively assisting my students in developing the skills they need to better understand and control their feelings and bodies. As a first-year school counselor, there are many items I'm seeking to purchase to best meet the needs of my students. The items in this project specifically will be able to be used immediately upon beginning the school year, both to help lead classroom lessons as well as with individual students who come to my office. I appreciate any amount you are able to donate. Thanks so much!
