These activities have quickly become some of my students' favorites! They love having hands-on tasks that allow them to practice real-life skills in a fun and engaging way. Whether they are sorting items, matching household objects, practicing daily routine, or learning basic life skills, the task boxes give them opportunities to learn through doing. It has been exciting to watch them stay focused, work independently, and celebrate their successes along the way.\r\n\r\nThe biggest impact has been seeing my students gradually build skills that will help them become more independent in their everyday lives. While progress may come in small steps, each completed task helps them gain confidence and learn something new. They are becoming more comfortable making choices, following directions, solving problems, and completing activities on their own. Seeing their smiles when they master a new skills is incredibly rewarding. Your generosity is helping create meaningful learning experiences that support their growth both inside and outside of the classroom, and I am grateful for the difference you are making in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1787272384812,"projectUrl":"project/gaining-independence/10355955/","projectTitle":"Gaining Independence","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Michelle Colston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9180042_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y56&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769707112316","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9180042"},{"teacherId":9180042,"projectId":10179108,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing lower-level novels and beginner books for my students in my self-contained special education classroom. Having books that match their reading levels has made a huge difference. My students are more excited about reading and feel successful because they can access and enjoy the stories.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest impacts has been during whole-group reading. Students are staying engaged, following along, and participating in discussions more than ever before. Because the books are at an appropriate level, they are able to focus on understanding the story instead of struggling with every word.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, their comprehension and confidence have grown. Students are retaining more information, answering questions more successfully, and taking pride in their reading abilities.
