Your contribution has made a lasting impact on our students, and I would love to share how your donation has truly transformed their journey.\r\nThe Girasol Group focuses on developing a deep connection with ancestral teachings—principles of respect, trust, integrity, and a sacred purpose. These teachings are more than just lessons; they are guiding values that these girls can carry with them throughout their lives. Over the course of this program, I have had the privilege of witnessing some profound moments of growth and connection, both with the teachings and with one another.\r\nOne of the most impactful experiences was when we began discussing the concept of honoring the sacredness of self and others. These teachings prompted incredible personal reflections. Many of the girls shared deeply vulnerable stories about their lives, their families, and the challenges they face as young women in today's world. It was moving to see them support each other with such compassion and understanding. The trust and respect they have developed for one another is something I believe will stay with them far beyond this program.\r\nWith your support, we were able to incorporate various materials into our sessions. We explored art, gardening, and beading that helped bring the teachings to life in tangible ways. The girls created beautiful artwork that illustrated their personal connections to the values we discussed, and we are planning on organizing a ceremony where they could express their purpose and commitment to upholding these teachings at the end of the school year. \r\nThis program is more than just a learning experience—it is a space where these girls develop as leaders, community members, and young women who are proud of their culture.
