The whiteboards and markers are such a wonderful addition to a kindergarten classroom. The students love writing with whiteboards and it is much easier for early writing skills.\r\nMany items wound up no longer being available and having to be substituted but this was actually perfect! I was able to get seat pouches that we desperately needed for a new classroom arrangement. This allows the students to store their papers, books, etc on their chair without issue and is greatly appreciated.\r\nIn addition to seat pouches, I was able to get some math materials for a bit later in the year- an addition/subtraction board for struggling learners and an alligator book about greater than and less than! Unfortunately it is very difficult to get a photo as the only adult in the room, but we have been reading the books and talking about concepts like respect and acceptance and discussing the differences between people both around the world and just in the classroom. This has been amazing for the kids. I have already seen some of them start to understand these concepts more than they had prior to having any exposure to things such as imagery of kids in wheelchairs, wearing hijabs, etc, or even something as simple as thinking about what it would be like if everyone/thing was same and why it's so important that we are all different.","fullyFundedDate":1748459753096,"projectUrl":"project/representation-through-lego-and-books/9371240/","projectTitle":"Representation through LEGO and Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Price","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9557989"},{"teacherId":7888527,"projectId":8893271,"letterContent":"My students really enjoyed the \"be-YOU-tiful\" project.
