Your support has made a meaningful difference for my students, especially those with dyslexia. It was like Christmas in July when the students were unpacking the boxes.\r\n\r\nBecause of your contribution, I have been able to create a more print-rich environment filled with purposeful learning tools. I've added bulletin boards highlighting phonics patterns and vocabulary rules, as well as anchor charts that directly support the skills we are working on each day. These visual supports are essential for reinforcing concepts and helping my students build confidence in their reading and writing abilities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is not just providing materials — it is creating opportunities for growth, understanding, and success. My students benefit daily from the engaging and structured environment your donation has helped create.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and in the success of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1752687881263,"projectUrl":"project/digital-technology-for-dyslexia/9380593/","projectTitle":"Digital Technology for Dyslexia","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Borrego","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10035100_orig.jpg?crop=1038,1039,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747968760745","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10035100"},{"teacherId":10113041,"projectId":9864703,"letterContent":"My students and I are so very grateful for the supplies that helped us to get through STAAR testing this year! I wanted to share some specific uses that we had for some of the supplies that I received.\r\n Throughout the year my students have been using fine tip expo markers to plot point, draw trend lines, create shapes, circle key words, etc. This is a strategy that we have been implementing since the beginning of the school year. Using these markers everyday in both my 8th math and algebra classes, who used them for solving problems on their desks (which they LOVE), tends to make them run out pretty quickly. For students to be able to use them on the STAAR test I needed to come up with one marker for every student. The boxes that I received made it so that ALL students were able to have a marker and I didn't have to purchase them with my own funds which I greatly appreciate!\r\n The boxes of pencils are and will continue to be used to provide my students with the necessary school supplies for class each day. I serve a community where I never want any students to feel bad for not have the things that they need each day in my room. These boxes that I received made it so that all students feel welcome and comfortable in my class!\r\n The colored pencils are amazing and students are currently using them to complete and volume project and next week will be completing a worksheet over writing linear equation from two points where they will prove their answers by coloring in the correct color!\r\n I again just want to say thank you for the support as we begin to close out this school year. My students and I are overwhelmed with gratitude.","fullyFundedDate":1771463884469,"projectUrl":"project/essential-supplies-for-student-engagemen/9864703/","projectTitle":"Essential Supplies for Student Engagement","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10113041_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754745512282","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10113041"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_9478","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":558,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.2,"schoolId":9478,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brentwood STEAM School of Innovation","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/edgewood-ind-school-district-san-antonio/brentwood-middle-school/9478"}
