Your donations made it possible for us to purchase new instruments and much-needed organizational supplies, and we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\nThe new instruments will allow more students to participate fully in music-making, giving them hands-on experiences that build confidence, creativity, and musical skills. Having enough quality instruments ensures that every child can engage meaningfully during lessons, explore new sounds, and grow as young musicians.\r\n\r\nThe organizational supplies you helped provide have already made a tremendous difference. With a more structured and efficient classroom setup, students can access materials quickly, transition smoothly between activities, and spend more time focused on learning. A well-organized space also helps maintain instruments properly, extending their life and keeping our classroom running beautifully.\r\n\r\nYour generosity directly impacts every student who walks through our doors, and we truly couldn't do this without you. Read alouds help improve their listening skills and gives me an opportunity to model good reading practices for my students. I also use them for social emotional lessons, which we have once a month. \r\n \r\nAll of the students are enjoying the books. Especially those who struggle the most with reading. Almost daily, they ask if we can read a book and take turns selecting one to read. \r\n \r\nOnce again, thank you so much for your very generous donations! We are beyond grateful for your support.\r\n\r\nThe rug has quickly become the heart of our classroom. Each morning, my students gather on it for circle time where we sing songs, share stories, and build our classroom community. It also gives them a cozy and organized space for reading and small group learning. One of our favorite moments so far was when we used the rug during a story time project — the children sat eagerly in their spots, fully engaged in the book, and afterwards they excitedly discussed the story together.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the rug, their faces lit up with smiles. Many of them rushed to find their own \"spot,\" and a few even said, \"It feels like home!\" That moment made it clear how much this gift means to them.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue using the rug daily as a central part of our literacy and math lessons. It will also be a key space for our upcoming \"All About Me\" project, where students will share about themselves and practice speaking and listening skills while seated together.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given us more than just a rug — you've given us a warm and welcoming space to learn, grow, and connect. When the new classroom rug and markers arrived, my second graders were overjoyed. Their eyes lit up as we unrolled the rug and placed it in our reading and collaboration corner. Immediately, students gathered around it for our morning meeting, and now it has become the heart of our classroom. It gives them a comfortable, defined space to engage in group work, partner reading, and class discussions. The markers have also been a huge hit—they've used them to create posters about their favorite books, draw diagrams for science projects, and illustrate their writing pieces with pride.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments so far was during a STEM lesson where students had to design a bridge using only classroom materials. They spread out on the rug, sketching their blueprints with the new markers, collaborating and discussing like real engineers. This project not only strengthened their problem-solving skills but also gave them the chance to express their creativity in a comfortable, flexible space. Several students commented that the rug made it easier to think and work together—and I've noticed they're much more engaged during these lessons.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we're using the rug and markers daily as part of our rotating literacy and math centers. Students now see the rug as \"their spot\" to explore, share, and grow. As we begin our upcoming unit on habitats and ecosystems, they'll be using the markers to design informational posters and the rug to participate in group research tasks. The addition of sensory and fidget tools has been especially meaningful for my students who benefit from movement or tactile input to stay focused and regulated. These tools have become a go-to resource in our calming corner, helping students manage big emotions and return to learning ready and refreshed. It's truly heartwarming to see students take ownership of their emotional well-being in such a positive way.\r\n\r\nThe new bookshelf and cursive letter banner have breathed new life into our reading area. Students are now more eager than ever to spend time there, exploring books and practicing their literacy skills. The visual appeal of the space encourages independent reading and sparks curiosity. Several students have even started trying to write their names in cursive after seeing the banner—something they were previously hesitant to try! The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card allowed me to bring in new, high-quality educational resources that are engaging and aligned to their needs. Your support has not only provided materials, but has uplifted the learning experience in a way that honors each student's unique path. These items have allowed my students to better manage stress, anxiety's, and sensory overload. The beanbag and weighted blankets have made the biggest impact on my students. When they need alternative seating or when they need a minute of comfort they request the bean bag. When they're feeling overwhelmed the weighted blankets help ground them. I often find them rubbing their hands on the sensory mats while sitting on the rug. Each student now has access to sensory strips and can keep them with them throughout the day. \r\n\r\nYour donation has had a profound impact on their emotional well-being, helping them feel supported and understood, encouraging emotional well being and making it easier for them to reset and return to their work feeling refreshed and focused.
