Battle of the books is a way for all students to read books of a variety of genres, experience being part of a team and get excited about reading. \r\nThe teams read books, cooperate on teams to answer trivia questions about the books and participate in coming up with a team name and creating a poster for their team! \r\n\r\nOne example of a student that this project benefited is a 5th grader who is reluctant to read . This student was very excited about one of the books chosen and begged me to order the sequel. It was exciting to see their pride of reading this book and being a contributing member of their team! And of course, I will order the sequel!\r\n\r\nYour generous donations allowed us to have enough books for all four 3rd-5th grade classes to check out books throughout the Battle of the Books competition!
