I use it multiple times a week when prepping learning games, worksheets, fun activities, and day to day items. When the students first saw the paper cutter, they were fascinated by it. None of them had seen one and wondered what it was. They've told me a couple times that the sound it makes is satisfying.\r\n\r\nThe students have used the dice to play adding and subtracting games. We focused mainly on two digit addition and subtraction without regrouping this quarter; we'll move into regrouping next quarter! They use the dice to roll a two digit number, and they roll again for another number. After, they work with a partner or independently to solve the problems.\r\n\r\nThe paper cutter has saved me so much prep time. As I introduced addition and subtraction, I was able to easily provide the students with a number of personal math tools to give them multiple strategies. These strategies were visual in nature to help them conceptualize addition and subtraction. During Thanksgiving, I used the paper cutter to prep our Thanksgiving Float Design activity. The students loved getting to design and create their own float.","fullyFundedDate":1726175148634,"projectUrl":"project/paper-cutter-other-supplies-for-math-g/8551829/","projectTitle":"Paper Cutter & Other Supplies for Math Games","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Beltran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9625410_orig.jpg?crop=1875,1875,x0,y656&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725125727761","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9625410"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33552","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":309,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":27,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.1,"schoolId":33552,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Boonsboro Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Boonsboro Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/bedford-county-public-school-district/boonsboro-elementary-school/33552"}
