Students completed more research on the different animals or plants in order to help them with their presentations. \r\n Our students were so excited to see each detailed specimen and colorful photo cards. These items helped them to learn to recognize characteristics of each plant or animal specimen. The set contained such colorful real life items such as a peacock feather, a sparrow nest, fossil replicas, etc. \r\n These items will continue to be used each year when we are learning about animal characteristics, fossils, animal structures and so on.","fullyFundedDate":1741119355820,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-students-in-science-and-stem/9043761/","projectTitle":"Engaging Students in Science and STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Patterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6971547"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57992","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":337,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":44,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":39,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.2,"schoolId":57992,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about B.T.
