There was an immediate buzz of excitement in the room as they pulled out their hand lenses to inspect everything up close. One of my favorite moments was watching their anticipation build around the geodes. Some students chose to take theirs home to crack open with family, while others could not wait and took them straight outside to recess. Watching them gather on the playground, carefully tapping their rocks open to reveal the hidden crystals inside, was an unforgettable moment of pure discovery.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are using the hand lenses and space pencils daily as we record scientific observations in our journals. Up next, we're diving into a hands-on earth science unit where students will use their hand lenses to compare different rock textures and mineral formations, using their space pencils to log their findings like real scientists.\r\n\r\nYour kindness gave my students more than just fun supplies; you gave them a memorable hands-on experience that sparked genuine curiosity and allowed their special day to be celebrated.
