The document camera has already made a huge impact on our lessons, bringing concepts to life in ways that were previously not possible. During our recent group project on analyzing a novel, I was able to display passages from the book for the entire class to see clearly. This allowed us to analyze the text together, discussing themes, vocabulary, and literary techniques in real time. The interactive nature of this resource encouraged more students to participate and share their ideas, creating a more inclusive environment for learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the document camera was first introduced, my students were excited and curious. They were thrilled to see how easily we could display their work and projects for everyone to see, making them feel proud and motivated. They have also been using it for peer reviews, where students can share their drafts and provide constructive feedback with the whole class, further improving their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe reading corner has also been a huge success. It has become a favorite space for students to escape into a book or simply enjoy a quiet moment. With the soft lighting and comfy seating, students are more eager to visit and dive into their reading. In fact, many students have started borrowing books from the corner to read both during class and at home. The comfort and variety of books available are helping to nurture a genuine love for reading, and I've already noticed improvements in their literacy skills. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're starting a new project where students will choose a book to read independently from the corner and then present a summary and analysis of it to the class. This will give them an opportunity to demonstrate their growing comprehension and presentation skills while reinforcing the importance of reading.\r\n\r\nThe resources you've helped provide have already made a significant difference in my students' learning journey, and they continue to inspire both academic and personal growth. I can't wait to see how they use these tools in the future! Thank you for your continued support in making this all possible.","fullyFundedDate":1726677353146,"projectUrl":"project/interactive-learning-literacy-a-docum/8728455/","projectTitle":"Interactive Learning & Literacy: a Document Camera and Reading Nook","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Moran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7747871_orig.jpg?crop=740,740,x39,y70&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1612301138760","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7747871"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_18387","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":376,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":76,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":90.2,"schoolId":18387,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bonner Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bonner Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/tyler-independent-school-district/bonner-elementary-school/18387"}
