The \"STEMagination Stations\" materials have allowed my third graders to move beyond reading about science and into experiencing it. From building food webs and exploring ecosystems to modeling the solar system and investigating decomposition, my students are able to learn through hands-on discovery. \r\n\r\nI watched their eyes light up as they opened the kits--immediately asking questions, making predictions, and collaborating with one another. Jayden shouted, This feels like real scientist work!\" That moment alone was priceless. \r\n\r\nJust before students began work on their solar ovens we were able to explore solar direction and make art with the solar kit. It instantly encouraged students to be creative with their own solar oven projects. \r\n\r\nThese resources have created opportunities for deeper thinking and authentic engagement. My students are not just memorizing vocabulary--they are manipulating models, observing, changes, testing ideas, and discussing evidence. I saw their confidence grow as they handled materials independently and explained concepts to their peers. The joy on their faces while working together, examining samples, and exploring cause and effect reminded me why experiential learning matters so much at this age. \r\n\r\nYou didn't just donate supplies---you invested in curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking! Because of you, our next steps include expanding our ecosystem investigations into student-designed habitat models and real world environmental problem solving. I combined the materials with another local contest , FAIRCHILD CHALLENGE allowing my students opportunity to share with the community their findings. My students now see themselves as scientists. \r\n\r\nThank you for believing in them and for helping me create a classroom where imagination meets inquiry. Your kindness is shaping future thinkers, problem solvers, and leaders.","fullyFundedDate":1757635216927,"projectUrl":"project/stemagination-stations/9573980/","projectTitle":"STEMagination Stations","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. MURPHY","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6927630_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1572794392677","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6927630"},{"teacherId":9672371,"projectId":8659110,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation! The printer was very useful and afforded me the ability to display colorful math vocabulary cards for student use. \r\nThe headphones and cushions supported focus and comfort, creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
