Your generosity and kōkua truly mean so much to me and our keiki. While these supplies may seem simple, they have already made a meaningful difference in our daily classroom routine and learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe sharpeners have truly been a game-changer. Their fast-sharpening feature allows students to quickly get back to work instead of waiting, becoming distracted, or needing assistance. In a busy classroom full of energetic keiki, every minute counts, and these sharpeners help maximize valuable learning time. The auto-stop feature is just as impactful, as it prevents over-sharpening, helps pencils last longer, and reduces waste. Together, these features promote independence and responsibility, giving our keiki the confidence to manage their materials on their own while staying focused and engaged in their learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of these thoughtful tools, students are spending less time dealing with small disruptions and more time writing, learning, and participating. This has helped create a calmer, more productive classroom environment where learning can truly thrive. It has been wonderful to see our keiki take ownership of their materials while remaining on task and motivated.\r\n\r\nThe pencils have also been greatly appreciated. Having a consistent supply ensures that students are always prepared and ready to learn. It removes unnecessary stress and helps create a sense of comfort and consistency in the classroom. When keiki feel prepared, they feel more confident, and that confidence is reflected in their work and participation.\r\n\r\nMore than anything, your gift represents the spirit of aloha. It shows our students that there are people in the community who care deeply about their education and want to support their growth and success. This kind of encouragement has a lasting impact and helps our keiki feel valued, supported, and inspired to do their best each day.\r\n\r\nMahalo again for your kindness, generosity, and continued support. With the addition of a quality color printer, our students are well on their way to learning and creating art while documenting their experience in a portfolio. \r\nOur very first project in art enrichment was color theory. We discussed primary colors and how all colors can be made with red, yellow and blue. To show an example of this, we took a look at a color wheel which we printed with our new color printer. They then had an opportunity to look inside of the printer which only contained magenta, yellow cyan and black ink cartridges. This helped demonstrate the concept that all colors can be created with just the primary colors.\r\nFrom that key stone moment, our students have since branched off into creating art with analogous and contemporary colors, patterns and lines. These moments have been captured with reflections and photos in their learning portfolio. Thanks to the colored printer, students will have evidence of their learning in art enrichment to take with them. They are looking forward to many more art lessons!","fullyFundedDate":1759241816198,"projectUrl":"project/the-world-is-a-rainbow/9772501/","projectTitle":"The World is A Rainbow","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nakasone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8000737_orig.jpg?crop=1387,1387,x0,y231&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1629488044306","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8000737"},{"teacherId":7931959,"projectId":9773647,"letterContent":"The supplies I received to supply my classroom store which encouraged positive behavior and rewarded students who displayed desired behaviors made a huge impact in the general classroom culture. \r\nStudents earned points when they were \"caught being good\" in the following areas: belonging, responsibility, excellence, aloha, total well being and Hawai'i.
