Our school is severely underfunded for new materials this year, including books. Due to your generosity, we are the only classroom in the school that has managed to get 3 sets of brand new class books into students' hands this year. Instead of only reading 2 books that were prescribed on the curriculum, we have been able to read 6 novels together and give kids a wide range of experiences, voices, and artistry. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has had an immediate impact on the quality of instruction and amount of reading that I can offer my students this year, and these additional materials are one of many ways that these scholars can be more college-ready, be better critical thinkers, and be more prepared for their lives outside of the school building. Additionally, being able to offer such a wide range of texts this year means that more kids got to find something interesting to them and got to discover the magic of reading. \r\n\r\nThank you for showing your love and care for students that you have never even met!
