The six additional scooter boards we received were the missing pieces of the puzzle, finally allowing us to run full-class activities where every single student was active at the same time.\r\n\r\nThe impact goes beyond just physical growth. The extra scooters allowed for our intermediate students to join in to primary classes and special needs classes to assist in the leadership of activities. Our school takes great pride in allowing these leadership activities on top of other character traits.\r\n\r\nAs a whole class, students were able to learn \"scootercises\" working on core strength. Using a fun implement to a regular exercise encourages engagement by all to the activity which you wouldn't get from just regular ol' pushups and sit ups. Our older students were able to lead / teach relay races and monitor safe use. We played scooter floor hockey and Fire Water Tree Tag, again, all without students needing to take turns.
