My students love the new rug area. \r\nTheir faces light up and some just began running their fingers against the rug, commenting on how soft and pretty it is. Students love sitting on the rug to complete their classwork and work with other students. The Takis, Pringles and pencils have been a huge help with keeping students on task. Through out the class period students can earn RISE tickets for staying on task, completing work, or working well with others if they earn enough tickets they can then turn them in for a snack/reward. The pencils went into my RISE box and students can purchase the pencil with their RISE tickets as well. The hyenine items have been very useful, students come to me for pads, band aids, deodorant or hair elastics when needed. I am so thankful I can offer these items to my students when they need them. Finally my classroom decor. I have gotten so many compliments on my classroom from students, staff, visitors and parents, its welcoming, bright, organized and looks nice. Students have complimented me on the way my room looks and wishing (the ones who aren't) that they could be in my classroom.\r\nI wasn't sure what this school year would bring with all the changes our school is going through, but I am off to a great year.
