Since the colorful seating, yoga ball seats, and floor cushions were added, the atmosphere has completely transformed. Students now have more options for flexible seating, and the bright colors have created an inviting, comfortable environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting ways we've used the new resources is with our collaborative puzzles. These puzzles are a favorite among students, and they've quickly become a go-to activity. During lunch breaks and independent work time, students gather in small groups, collaborating on these puzzles while also engaging in conversations about their interests. The cushions and yoga balls make these sessions even more fun, as students have the freedom to sit or bounce around while working together. It's been amazing to watch them work as a team, developing problem-solving skills and learning how to collaborate in a creative space.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless! Their faces lit up as they discovered the colorful cushions and the vibrant new seating options. It's been exciting to see them so eager to find their favorite spot, and they've expressed how much they love the new space. The yoga balls are especially popular—students love the active seating, and it has made a noticeable difference in helping them focus and stay engaged during reading or group activities.\r\n\r\nThe next step for my students is to continue using this space for collaborative learning, including book clubs, group projects, and independent reading. The vibrant, flexible environment has inspired them to take ownership of their learning, and they are more engaged than ever. The new materials have not only transformed the physical space, but they've also transformed the way students approach collaboration and creativity in our library.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible and for contributing to our vibrant, dynamic learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1732844903367,"projectUrl":"project/spectrum-sanctuary-vibrant-library-spac/8709749/","projectTitle":"Spectrum Sanctuary: Vibrant Library Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Page","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8847007_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1711539709141","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8847007"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_6629","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":757,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":32,"percentWhite":14,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":47,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":48.7,"schoolId":6629,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Berea Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Berea Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/south-carolina/greenville-county-schools/berea-middle-school/6629"}
