In today's classroom, it is so rare to see students work through a struggle. There is google, AI-- always something to take away that struggle and make it instantly \"easy\" or, at the very least, \"easier\" for them. It has been so refreshing to watch them sit with their struggle and work together to figure out what Shakespeare wrote hundreds of years ago. \r\nThis lesson in perseverance is invaluable and entirely made possible by your generous donation. Over the past few months, we have read together and acted out scenes together. We have focused on Shakespeare's unusual word order and decoded challenging sentence structure. Their struggles have paid off. I see students really discussing what we have read, and learning important inference skills-- skills that they will take with them as they continue not just their educational journey, but also as they move on to whatever their future holds. \r\nIn the coming weeks, my students will be acting out scenes as their final assessment for the play. I hope I am able to impress upon you just how thankful I am and my students are. It is rare to see high school students engaged in challenging literature in today's classroom; however, I am so happy to say that my students truly are becoming more engaged and stronger readers as a direct result from your donation.
