Many of these books, including Frizzy, were on my personal wish list. This title has already been enjoyed by our ESOL teacher, a student, and myself, and we are all excited to dive into the rest of the collection.\r\n One of the most rewarding parts of being a librarian is sharing a book with a student. Reading the same stories allows us to make meaningful personal connections and strengthen our relationships through a shared love of reading.\r\n These books will also create many opportunities for students to learn about cultures and experiences that may be different from their own. While my students are always excited about new books, this collection feels especially meaningful. I have already spent time browsing through them myself and look forward to reading many of them personally. A couple titles will be added to my high school collection, while most will support my readers in grades 3–5. Students in this age group are passionate about reading and always eager to discover new favorites. After sharing a small sneak peek, I already had to start a waiting list for several titles.\r\n The graphic novels especially sparked students' curiosity. This format offers an inviting and engaging way for readers to connect with stories through both words and illustrations. The historical read-alouds will also become an important part of my lessons. In particular, Shark Girl completely captivated my 4th graders when I recently read it aloud. Having my own copy will allow me to share it again during Women's History Month with my 5th graders and with younger students as we explore sea life topics.\r\n I feel truly honored to provide rich, meaningful texts that students can enjoy both academically and for pleasure. Your generosity is helping create excitement for reading, build connections, and inspire lifelong readers. Thank you again for supporting my students and helping make these experiences possible.","fullyFundedDate":1773848685357,"projectUrl":"project/book-representation-matters/10158137/","projectTitle":"Book Representation Matters","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Race","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9595741_orig.png?crop=1592,1592,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724277661127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9595741"},{"teacherId":10096972,"projectId":9506425,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting my classroom project.
