My students love sitting in the chair or on the bean bags during morning meeting and when they are flipping through a book. The comfortable seating makes learning more enjoyable. The teachers in our class are enjoying the seating, too. The nice soft colors help create a calming environment.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the bean bags they sat down on them and felt like they were king of the hill because they were so high (lol). When they saw the Big Joe they immediately cozied up in the chair, and I could tell they were in a calm and relaxed state of mind. The seating helps my students when focusing during group lessons because it helps them self-regulate and calm their bodies. \r\n\r\nThank you for generous donation and contributing to the learning that happens in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746699589384,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-equals-learning/9325135/","projectTitle":"Comfort Equals Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Messa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4700907_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539369825131","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/j-messa"},{"teacherId":6909018,"projectId":9310614,"letterContent":"We are so thankful for the many gifts we received through this project. Thank you all for your generous donations. We have been using these items during morning soft start and also during reading small group time. \r\nWhen the boxes first came in the students faces lit up. They were excited to see what was inside the big, brown boxes. As I started taking out the materials, they got even more excited. We unboxed the materials and they picked some to fill the shelves to use during soft start time. \r\nOur next project will be a \"Kinetic Korner.\" Quite opposite a calm corner, the Kinetic Korner will offer children a movement break. Many times young students are told to sit for long periods of time with no breaks. This is the opposite of what their bodies are meant to do. Their young bodies are meant to move. Which is why I plan to create a safe space for them to do this.","fullyFundedDate":1746786935853,"projectUrl":"project/a-soft-start-is-the-start-of-a-successfu/9310614/","projectTitle":"A Soft Start Is the Start of a Successful Day","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vodopija","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6909018"},{"teacherId":8712492,"projectId":8687801,"letterContent":"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our music classroom! Thanks to your donation, our students now have a set of boom whackers and bucket drums, and the excitement they brought to our classroom has been incredible. When the students first saw the new instruments, their faces lit up with pure joy. Many of them immediately started exploring the different sounds, and it was amazing to see their curiosity and creativity come to life. \r\n\r\n We've already put the new instruments to good use. In one recent lesson, we used the boom whackers to explore pitch and rhythm. The students worked together to play simple melodies and even created their own rhythms. The bucket drums have been a huge hit for developing steady beat and coordination — it's incredible to watch the kids come together as a group, listening to each other and creating music as a team. The hands-on experience has made a huge difference in their understanding of musical concepts, and it's helping build their confidence and teamwork skills. \r\n\r\n Your generosity has not only provided us with these wonderful instruments but has also inspired a deeper love for music in our classroom. Thank you for making such a meaningful impact on our students' musical journey!","fullyFundedDate":1733284013502,"projectUrl":"project/weve-got-the-beat/8687801/","projectTitle":"We've Got The Beat!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kelli","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8712492_orig.jpg?crop=750,750,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725805333583","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8712492"},{"teacherId":6909018,"projectId":8930124,"letterContent":"Through these amazing resources, my students have been able to grow their knowledge of letters and their sounds.
