With the affects of Covid and then Hurricane Ida weighing hard on the elementary students in my school, my position was added. I am the Accelerate teacher for our Primary School. My position adds life and love to an already amazing school. The students at this school go above and beyond to break through any challenges and pursue their education career. It is my job as the Accelerate Teacher to push them even further. The materials I chose will help me do just that. My position requires that I am constantly analyzing data to make minute by minute decisions on what is best for my students. I will use the tablet to collect data effectively and efficiently. It will allow me to send the data straight to the teachers with no lag time. This will ultimately allow the teachers to help the students quicker than before. The mirrors will be used to help students correctly form their mouths to speak. In a world where our facial expressions and mouths are covered by masks, it is important these kiddos are allowed some time to be able to see how our mouths actually work. The last item I will be asking for is a gift card for Teacher's Pay Teachers. With this position being brand new, I am often researching to find the best materials for the students. I plan to use the gift card to purchase useful tools and items for my students. With your help, I can give these students an even greater chance for success.
