My classroom has gotten the opportunity to enhance our classroom experience with the different supplies funded. Although we do not have a class set of the microscopes, hotplates, and other lab tools like those, the students have gained from demos and rotation experiences using these tools. Things like the staple gun have been used to help decorate the classroom since a regular stapler does not always work, the poster have been used to add visual learning with topics/supplies being used, and the laptop has been used to enhance the technology uses in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThere is still so much more that we can use these supplies for and so much more than we hope to gain in the future. Some things like classroom basics are always needed. My students loved and were excited to have a functioning microscope in class since it can be a challenge too find a functioning microscope in class. \r\n\r\nThere is always a learning curve to adding technology in my classroom, but after the students start using these tools, they usually get excited when it is incorporated in the classroom. We have had the ability to utilize the different resources like the rock packs to compare, contrast, and make observations on the differences in the different rock types. We have gotten to use things like the different coloring resources to create illustrations for individual assignments as well as collaborative group assignments. The different resources have been used to organize the classroom and prepare student work. \r\n\r\nMy students that come from an underserved community were incredibly impressed and encouraged that there are individuals and other resources that are willing to support someone like them. Our classroom has had the ability to allow students to engage in the academic material in a way that was previously not possible in my classroom. \r\n\r\nLike in any classroom, the needs in a classroom never end.
