The pencils and red pens have been especially helpful—students use them for classwork, checking their work, and participating in group tasks. The tissues and cleaning supplies have also made a big difference in keeping our room clean, comfortable, and ready for learning each day.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the replenished supplies, they were excited and relieved. Many of them had been running low on pencils, and having a fresh set available helped them feel prepared and supported. The red pens were also a big hit because students enjoy using them to review their work and track their progress.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through our pre-algebra unit, these materials will support students during daily practice, partner work, and hands-on activities. Restocking the basics keeps us organized and focused as the math gets more challenging throughout the trimester.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping make our classroom a place where students can learn without the stress of missing essential supplies.","fullyFundedDate":1763424907972,"projectUrl":"project/mswingate-winter-essentials/9875454/","projectTitle":"Ms.Wingate Winter Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wingate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7524671_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1628017306689","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7524671"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_103493","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":690,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":7,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":48,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"5 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":26.7,"schoolId":103493,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Basis Washington District of Columbia on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Basis Washington District of Columbia","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/district-of-columbia/district-of-columbia-public-charter-school-board/basis-dc/103493"}
