As soon as students returned from Thanksgiving recess, they were surprised and excited to see it set up at the front of Room 24 at the Bartlett. I assembled the board myself and placed it next to our Clear Touch panel so students no longer have to turn around during lessons—everything they need to see is now right in front of them. We use the board every day for posting our science content and lesson objectives, which helps students stay focused and organized.\r\n\r\nIn Grade 5, students are using the board to track their investigation of the planets in our solar system, recording orbit times, distances, and planetary sizes. In Grade 6, students are using it to compare amplitude and frequency as they study sound waves. This mobile board has already become an essential part of our classroom, supporting clearer instruction and smoother transitions as we move through our units.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students a resource that makes learning more engaging, accessible, and enjoyable!","fullyFundedDate":1761840054629,"projectUrl":"project/mobile-whiteboard-makes-science-goals-vi/9695296/","projectTitle":"Mobile Whiteboard Makes Science Goals Visible and Learning Accessible Daily","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Freeman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2944048_orig.jpg?crop=588,588,x0,y17&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757288405712","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2944048"},{"teacherId":9715694,"projectId":8718083,"letterContent":"As a first year teacher, who's responsible for nine grades and has no curriculum set in place - the lesson plans in these books were invaluable to me and my students. \r\n\r\nThese books were essential in creating fun and engaging lessons for my students. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and The Bartlett School is at an 84% poverty level. When it comes to replenishing supplies, it can be a stressor for most students. We use an interactive math notebook, which is an amazing tool from my students to have as the school year progresses. It is a must for us to have access to lots of glue sticks to keep this going. When the supplies arrived, they were ecstatic!!! They know that I always do what I can to support their needs, but when I shared that you donated to our classroom...they were so touched! Thank you! Thank you!\r\nThe students know right from day one, that organization is a must in our classroom. Everything has its place. They were thrilled when they ALL received matching pencil boxes to store their supplies. The students were beaming. The chair sacks that I had and purchased myself a few years ago were beginning to really ware down and rip in places along the seams. As you know anything brand-new makes EVERYTHING better. We love our new things. Thanks to you, we feel refreshed and ready to learn!\r\nExecutive functioning skills are so critical in development of children to be successful and progress. We will be using the great new light meters in a few weeks. It may sound like a little thing, but the glue sticks help our fledgling scientists keep their science notebooks organized and up-to-date.
