Especially for my English-language learning students, these books operated as a resource for me to better serve them.\r\n\r\nActivities such as the A/B Scenes included in the book titled, \"Drama Projects for the Middle School Classroom\", allowed students to explore how simple scenes can be enhanced and differentiated just by tone and emotion. We learned about the origins of facepaint and how it has shown up in history in many ways other than just theatrical. I was able to have 98% of my 7th and 8th graders participate in the unit was much higher than anticipated participation. \r\n\r\nFace paint was something my 8th grade students were particularly excited for, so when I brought in the materials they were so excited to see they had arrived.\r\nThis absolutely could not have been done without the generosity of donors like you.\r\nIn fact, they were truly upset once the unit had come to a close.\r\n\r\nI really want to thank you again for the support in giving these kids access to what they deserve: space to be creative and try new things.","fullyFundedDate":1735657632448,"projectUrl":"project/dramatic-face-paint-unit/8834388/","projectTitle":"Dramatic Face Paint Unit","teacherDisplayName":"Mx. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and The Bartlett School is at an 84% poverty level. When it comes to replenishing supplies, it can be a stressor for most students. We use an interactive math notebook, which is an amazing tool from my students to have as the school year progresses. It is a must for us to have access to lots of glue sticks to keep this going. When the supplies arrived, they were ecstatic!!! They know that I always do what I can to support their needs, but when I shared that you donated to our classroom...they were so touched! Thank you! Thank you!\r\nThe students know right from day one, that organization is a must in our classroom. Everything has its place. They were thrilled when they ALL received matching pencil boxes to store their supplies. The students were beaming. The chair sacks that I had and purchased myself a few years ago were beginning to really ware down and rip in places along the seams. As you know anything brand-new makes EVERYTHING better. We love our new things. Thanks to you, we feel refreshed and ready to learn!\r\nExecutive functioning skills are so critical in development of children to be successful and progress. We will be using the great new light meters in a few weeks. It may sound like a little thing, but the glue sticks help our fledgling scientists keep their science notebooks organized and up-to-date. We use the toner cartridge every week to print student work.\r\n\r\nWe are in the midst of our STEM Club season and will make great use of the Estes rocket motors so the kids can launch rockets on the playground behind our school.
