I love adding to my classroom library so I can offer a wide genre of books to my students. They are especially enjoying Holly Jackson's The Good Girl's Guide to Murder Series. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. As you know, gardening resources can be extremely expensive. Your generous donations have eased the burden of trying to purchase class materials and allowed me to focus on teaching my students the importance of agricultural independence. Learning how to grow your food is a skill that cannot be taken away. This is a skill my students will have forever! \r\nThe soil purchased will allow my Environmental Science students to plant some of the herbs that were also purchased in our school courtyard. This courtyard is in the middle of our school with windows all around for students to see. My goal is for students to be able to enjoy the Lavendar, basil, cilantro, and other herbs by creating a pleasant aroma in our school courtyard. This also helps encourage conversations with students about cooking as well! \r\nThe purchased pots will also allow students to plant their own basil to plant at school and then take home to continue growing. This teaches them that we can even grow our own food in small spaces as long as we have soil, seeds, water, and light. I know my students will enjoy every moment of getting outside and getting their hands dirty. This is all because of your extremely thoughtful and generous donation! We can't thank you enough for your support!
