This helps keep our science space clean and orderly and cuts down on germs. Students have taken ownership of our small space and have been using the wipes to clean their desk areas. They can write out the work necessary to complete the problems. I also have extra pencils for the students as they go through them so fast and they have access to tissues and lysol wipes, so they can keep their desks clean and maintain a healthy classroom.\r\n The laminator has been so helpful as I have many resources that I have laminated and displayed that students can use to look at to help them learn a particular topic. This will allow me to reuse resources that I can use from year to year, such as the scavenger hunts that the students enjoy so much.\r\n The students and I are very thankful for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1748640809756,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-in-2025-2026/9382763/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success in 2025-2026!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Beer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9896767"},{"teacherId":366973,"projectId":9372559,"letterContent":"The donation of a new teacher chair and classroom storage bins through the grant has made a noticeable impact on both the learning environment and daily classroom operations. The chair provides essential ergonomic support, helping me stay comfortable and focused during long teaching hours, which directly supports my ability to engage with students effectively. The addition of the bins has brought a new level of organization to the classroom—materials, supplies, and student work are now more accessible, reducing time lost to searching for resources and creating a calmer, more structured space for learning. Together, these items have enhanced both the functionality of the classroom and the overall atmosphere, allowing for smoother instruction and a more positive experience for students.","fullyFundedDate":1748482052701,"projectUrl":"project/science-through-art/9372559/","projectTitle":"Science through Art","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Houston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp366973_orig.png?crop=599,599,x235,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1634767930691","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/366973"},{"teacherId":9896767,"projectId":9194370,"letterContent":"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation to my project. \r\nAlthough it has only been a short time since I have been able to incorporate using my I-pad while I teach my lesson, the impact has already been significant.\r\nI am able to use it in conjunction with my touch screen and the transition has been seamless. Students commented just after the first day, how much they liked me using the I-pad when I am going over the notes. I can enlarge the problem, so students in the back of the room can see the board so much better. My student that has a sight disability, is able to see the problems so much better and that has been very beneficial to him. I have had several students absent due to serious illness or just out of school field trips and they have been able to keep up with what they missed because I can now download the notes and either send the PDF directly to the student or I can post it in google classroom, so they can get the notes from there. It has already made the math instruction, so much more accessible. \r\nI haven't tried this yet because it has not been applicable, but if I am out, I can voice record the notes, so students would not miss a day of instruction and could re-watch certain examples, if they needed more clarification.\r\n I truly could not be more excited about this new type of technology in my classroom and I am confident that it will positively impact my students for many years to come. More importantly, students talk about the furniture as their own, \"that's my chair,\" \"I picked this out\" or \"I built this\" are important things to say and feel about a high-school classroom--especially for students who are otherwise unhoused and might never have experienced that feeling of pride and ownership. \r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping these students feel a comfort and belonging in our night school program: we couldn't have done it without your support! \r\n\r\nThe photos show the classroom as it was BEFORE the furniture and two pics from now, with some students in \"their\" chairs.
