Because of your kindness, our students now have access to cars, carpets, marble runs, a train set, and wooden people that have truly transformed our playtime. We use these materials daily during our center time, where students work together to build roads, create imaginative stories, and design marble tracks. One of my favorite moments was watching a small group of students collaborate to build a \"city\" with the car carpets and train set, they assigned roles, shared materials, and problem-solved together in such a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their excitement was unforgettable! Their eyes lit up, and they immediately began exploring, creating, and engaging with one another. These resources have not only brought so much joy, but they have also supported important social skills like sharing, teamwork, and communication. It has been incredible to see how naturally they are learning through play.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our learning, we plan to build on these experiences by incorporating more structured collaborative projects, such as designing communities, storytelling with the wooden figures, and simple STEM challenges using the marble runs. Your support has made a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are so grateful for the opportunities you have provided our students to grow, learn, and play together.","fullyFundedDate":1769178037997,"projectUrl":"project/building-play-imagination-and-problem-/9769125/","projectTitle":"Building Play, Imagination, and Problem-Solving with Cars, People, and Marbleruns","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Espinoza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9529099_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759212138708","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9529099"},{"teacherId":9321014,"projectId":9488364,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our library through your generous donation. Because of you, I was able to purchase a variety of engaging Teachers Pay Teachers resources that will benefit all of our students-from our youngest learners in TK to our middle school students in 8th grade.\r\n\r\nWith the funds you provided, I selected lesson plans for lower grades, interactive genre games, library orientation activities (that will be used not only this year but for many years to come), character-guessing games, digital breakouts, and other hands-on literacy activities. I intentionally chose a wide range of resources so there would truly be something for everyone and so I could add meaningful variety to our library program throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nSeveral of these resources have already been used with students, and the response has been wonderful-students were excited, engaged, and genuinely having fun while learning. Other activities are scheduled for later this spring, and the full collection will be woven into next year's lessons as well. Having this library of ready-to-use, creative resources gives me the flexibility to keep lessons fresh, dynamic, and tailored to different age groups and learning needs.\r\n\r\nYour support helps make the library a place students look forward to visiting—a space where learning feels interactive, playful, and inspiring. These books are now fully processed on many are up on display, ready for checkout. Some are even at home as you read this, as they were quickly checked out. The rest will be going up next week, with more graphic novels that will be protected in the coming weeks. \r\nI did have to alter the project a bit as half the cover rolls were unavailable, so I got the next part to help protect our books and give us more time with book repair materials. This has already helped rebind broken spines on several volumes of books I had in a repair box. The students love that I can now do same-day repairs, especially on our Dog Man books. It will get books fixed and back to students in a faster turnaround time and will hold the books up even longer. \r\nThank you for your help in ensuring high-quality, long lasting books for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1746757438943,"projectUrl":"project/protect-our-books-making-books-last-th/9116326/","projectTitle":"Protect Our Books! Teachers have also been borrowing them fro their classroom and we are working it into the schedule for the 2025-2026 school year to have more open access time in the library for kids to come and hang out.
