Students I work with are part of a 4th-6th grade school in a small town including some rural areas bordering it. Students in my class have identified needs such as Specific Learning Disabilities and Autism. Due to their individual needs instructional strategies have to be flexible and allow for sensory needs is also part of their daily routines. Understanding that my students need flexible seating, sensory items, and brain breaks is a challenge for finding balance.
