It is often difficult to get everything we need in public school classrooms as budgets are often tight for both the school system and educators trying to provide the things our students need to promote effective learning strategies that are aligned with state standards.\r\n\r\nIf you have seen the photos, the laminator has been a tremendous blessing. We are using it to create learning centers for our students to use and practice materials they can bring home to review what we are learning at school. It is also handy for laminating holiday items we use each year in the classroom. It's possibilities are endless and we are so grateful for it. We also love using the storage cart to store our learning center materials so students can easily access them as the rotate to groups. These items have impacted their learning by helping them practice the skills they are taught daily during core instruction. We align the centers with the standards we teach and this is a fun, engaging way for them to practice. It helps me accomplish more because they are practicing the skills with a partner while I work with small groups. It has had a great impact on reinforcing learning. \r\n\r\nThe binder clips, colored paper, dry erase markers etc. may seem trivial but they are so important to our daily routines and are used very frequently in our classroom. The students especially enjoy using the markers to practice writing or solve math problems. They truly love using those markers and we go through them quickly! We cannot thank you enough for these items as the impact they are making will last for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1744033047080,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials-needed/9107536/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kinnamon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2477448_orig.jpg?crop=456,457,x0,y10&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1601381818923","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2477448"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1704","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":548,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":19,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":43,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":32.8,"schoolId":1704,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bailey Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bailey Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/nash-rocky-mount-public-schools/bailey-elementary-school/1704"}
