Your thoughtful contribution has made a tremendous impact on our daily learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe document camera has transformed the way we teach and learn together. By projecting worksheets, student work, picture books, and other materials onto our Promethean board, every student now has a clear view of what we're studying. This seemingly simple tool has opened up countless instructional possibilities that were previously challenging to achieve.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful benefits has been the opportunity for students to share their work with confidence. In math class, for example, students eagerly bring their papers to the document camera to demonstrate how they solved problems. This experience allows them to become \"teachers\" for their classmates, building both their mathematical understanding and their communication skills. The engagement and pride we see on their faces during these moments is truly special.\r\n\r\nThe camera has also enhanced our reading program significantly. We can now project stories for the entire class to follow along, making shared reading more interactive and accessible. Additionally, we use it to display student writing samples as teaching models, helping young writers see concrete examples of strong work. The built-in highlighting feature is particularly valuable—it allows us to emphasize important information on the projected image without marking the original document.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, our students are more engaged and focused during lessons. The reliability and advanced features of this camera have made teaching more seamless, allowing us to concentrate on instruction rather than troubleshooting technology issues.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and our students' education. Your generosity is making a real difference every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758839007233,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-todays-readers-with-technology/9410376/","projectTitle":"Engaging Today's Readers With Technology","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coates","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp625560_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y219&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749758239598","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/625560"},{"teacherId":10049258,"projectId":9393852,"letterContent":"The impact of your generous donations have been felt in both of our first grade classrooms! Our new reading curriculum, SFA, requires numerous documents to be projected onto the smartboard from blackline master sheets. Our document cameras were old and outdated, and weren't great quality, making it difficult to show documents to our students. The new document cameras purchased with your donations are amazing, they include new technology, and perfect picture quality, which allows the documents we project to be crystal clear and easy for students to see.\r\n\r\nThe impact has also been felt in other areas of our curriculum, specifically math, where we project documents often. Students have said how clear the pictures are, and the new cameras allow us to zoom in, record, and even freeze the screen, which was never possible previously. Students can now interact with the documents on the Smartboard, and it makes learning fun for them.\r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough, and our first graders thank you also. Your generosity is so appreciated, and thanks to you, future first grade students will be able to experience these document cameras, and the learning opportunities that come with them!","fullyFundedDate":1749607474465,"projectUrl":"project/help-first-grade-shine-with-elmo-documen/9393852/","projectTitle":"Help First Grade Shine With Elmo Document Cameras!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Baker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10049258"},{"teacherId":5356237,"projectId":9275269,"letterContent":"Our new color printer has been a game-changer for creating accessible and engaging learning materials! Last week, we used it to print vibrant visual schedules with color-coded activities that help our students with autism navigate their daily routines independently. One particularly impactful moment was when we printed colorful social story books for Kevin, who struggles with transitions. The bright, clear images helped him understand and prepare for fire drill procedures - something that previously caused him significant anxiety. We've also been printing laminated picture communication cards in full color, which has dramatically improved communication for our non-verbal students. The visual clarity and appeal of colored materials has increased engagement across all our learning activities.\r\n\r\nThe difference was remarkable! When I showed the students our first batch of color-printed materials - their personalized visual schedules - their faces absolutely lit up. A student, who typically struggles with focus, spent several minutes carefully examining each colorful image on his schedule. The excitement continued when we introduced the color-coded math manipulative templates - students who usually needed multiple prompts to begin work were immediately drawn to the activities. One parent even commented that their child came home talking about 'the pretty colors' in their learning materials for the first time all year.\r\n\r\nWe're currently developing personalized color-coded reading comprehension materials for each student's individual reading level. Next week, we'll be printing illustrated story sequences in color to help our students with intellectual disabilities practice narrative skills and story comprehension. The bright images will support their understanding and memory retention. Moving forward, we're planning to create a classroom library of color-printed adapted books where students can see themselves represented in the characters. We're also preparing for our IEP goal tracking system, where we'll use color-coded charts and graphs to help students visually track their own progress - something that will boost their self-advocacy skills and sense of accomplishment.","fullyFundedDate":1746627218552,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-special-education-students-wi/9275269/","projectTitle":"Empowering Special Education Students with Visual Schedules and Parent Communication","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5356237_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682640097041","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-ajoyce"},{"teacherId":5356237,"projectId":9345296,"letterContent":"Our new dry erase board has transformed our daily math lessons! Just yesterday, we used it for a collaborative problem-solving activity where students worked in pairs to solve multi-step word problems. Instead of being limited to small whiteboards, they could show their complete work and thinking process on the large board. The board has become our central hub for student presentations, group discussions, and interactive lessons across all subjects.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate and contagious! When I unveiled the new dry erase board, several students actually cheered and asked if they could be the first to write on it. Their eyes lit up as they realized how much space they now had to share their ideas. One student said, 'Now we can all see everyone's work at the same time!' Another was thrilled that we could finally do whole-class brainstorming sessions where everyone could contribute simultaneously. The enthusiasm has continued - students now volunteer eagerly to present their work and share their thinking with the class.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for the board will be to continue to be a central hub for information. This will be especially true during our special education time. This will allow students to know what work they need to complete and any other missing classwork they may need to do. \r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough for all the support your have provided for our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1747070523270,"projectUrl":"project/erase-the-gap/9345296/","projectTitle":"Erase the Gap","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5356237_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682640097041","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-ajoyce"},{"teacherId":8608101,"projectId":9199253,"letterContent":"My students this year loved using the new whiteboards to share and show their work. They were so proud sharing either with the whole class, a small group, or just a partner. By displaying their work they were highly motivated to work harder. Because it was late in the school year the class didn't have the opportunity to use them as much as I would have liked, but I look forward to using them all year long with my new class starting in the fall. \r\n\r\nAlso, the magnetic clips were a great help organizing my centers. They make changing the centers easy and a great timesaver. \r\n\r\nMy class and I are so appreciative of all the wonderful supplies donated.
