I service 65 students with speech/language impairments and developmental disabilities, such as autism, intellectually challenged and learning support students. We are a district with 600 student in grades K-12 and live in a very rural, economically disadvantaged area. In the state of Pennsylvania, 65 students is the maximum allowed to be serviced by one Speech Language Pathologist. Our school budgets are very tight and no extra equipment is permitted. The students who are autistic support need access to color materials for picture schedules, social stories, augmentative communication and adapted classroom work. My speech therapy students would also benefit from color worksheets for articulation, language and fluency materials. Any assistance is greatly appreciated by these students in need!
