Previously, the constant noise disrupted the flow of lessons, interrupted focus during independent work, and often created unnecessary distractions during assessments. With quieter seating, students are better able to concentrate, engage in class discussions, and maintain focus during writing tasks. This improvement has contributed to a calmer, more productive classroom environment where students can direct their full attention to learning.\r\n\r\nProviding students access to a classroom or school printer has proven to be a significant resource, especially given that nearly 80% of students do not have a printer at home. Prior to this, students often struggled to submit polished work, typed essays, or printed research projects, which placed them at a disadvantage compared to peers with more resources. Having a printer available levels the playing field by ensuring all students can meet assignment expectations, prepare for presentations, and develop digital literacy skills. This resource also fosters responsibility, as students are able to take ownership of their learning and present work in a professional format.\r\nI want to THANK YOU! for helping -all- the present and past students.","fullyFundedDate":1753119960784,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-a-dream-donate-to-a-high-need-high/9300991/","projectTitle":"Fuel a Dream: Donate to a High-Need High School Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10009681_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746205289397","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10009681"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15544","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1097,"numTeachers":94,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":5,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":89,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":42.9,"schoolId":15544,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Austin High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Austin High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/el-paso-independent-school-district/austin-high-school/15544"}
