From the moment they arrived in the mail, the games and sticker puzzles have been in use and have been a popular addition to the high school library. They have afforded opportunities for students to bond and engage in friendly competition. In particular, the sticker puzzles, which start out as complete mysteries, have been wildly successful. I have sometimes had to remind students that the bell has rung for their next class because they are so deeply into figuring out what the picture could be. At this point, I wished I had purchased more since students are completing them at a fast clip. \r\n\r\nIt has been enjoyable to watch students turn to the games when they come to the library for study hall. It's a nice alternative that gives them a chance to let off steam and have fun. Libraries aren't meant to be silent places, but spots for community gatherings, and the games definitely promote social interaction. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, I hope to add to the games collection by asking staff for any board games they wish to donate and scouring local garage sales. Your donation has been the perfect jumping off point for this endeavor.
