I am able to start the day with cute graphics, a schedule and a countdown to start rehearsal. We have also been able to listen to several different examples of different kinds of music and the students are able to follow along with the music without us having to purchase it first. We are able to decide as a group if we feel that we can sing it and then purchase it after that. \r\n The students have also been using it daily for sight singing. They are getting better and better at reading music quickly. This is something that is judged when we go to competition in the spring and they are gaining more and more confidence at doing it because we are able to practice it daily. \r\n Thank you so much for donating this to our program. This smartboard has allowed students the ability to have hands on learning with technology. From figuring out equations to drawing planners for writing, they have been able to have a hand in their learning.\r\n\r\nThe students are most excited about being able to see the board. The old projector in my classroom was grainy and shook the whole time. This made copying from the board difficult and it was not interactive. They are able to interact with their learning now, as well as see the material easier. \r\n\r\nI have one student who does not like worksheets. However, he loves the new board. The pure excitement of my students as they go through the process of producing something so simple as a snack has been amazing to watch. While our tomato plants are more than thriving in our desktop planter, the cabbage they are growing seem to be very stunted. Seeing them work out the reasons and better solutions to these issues have been a joy. The way they lay paint on the Gelli plates and use different textures to create interesting textures, and designs. The excitement and the younger students is faces when they get to see what they get to do in the future.
