Our students are using their binders every day to keep their classwork, notes, assignments, and important papers organized. They also use the binder to keep a calendar and track homework and upcoming deadlines. When the students first received their binders, they were excited to have a resource that was theirs and that could help them stay organized. It was exciting to see students immediately begin organizing their materials and making their binders their own.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will use their binders to stay on top of their assignments and build important organizational and time-management skills. Our next steps are to continue using the binders during our daily lessons, add new classwork and resources, and regularly update calendars and homework lists. These binders are more than just school supplies—they are helping our students develop habits that will support them both in the classroom and beyond. We are incredibly grateful to our donors for investing in our students and helping give every student the tools they need to be successful.","fullyFundedDate":1778545613176,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-success-equipping-students-wi/10206316/","projectTitle":"Tools for Success: Equipping Students With the Power of Organization","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. David","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9277817_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764454300785","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9277817"},{"teacherId":9277817,"projectId":9981474,"letterContent":"The embroidery kits have become much more than a craft project; they are a masterclass in patience and resilience. While my students have mastered the technical skill of threading a needle, the real magic happens when things go wrong. I've watched students calmly unpick hours of work to correct a mistake, proving to themselves that \"starting over\" isn't a failure—it's just part of the creative process. Watching them embrace that growth mindset has been the highlight of our club meetings.\r\n\r\nYou should have seen their faces when the kits first arrived! The room was buzzing with excitement as they sifted through the various patterns. It wasn't long before the \"dibs\" started flying—each student found a design that spoke to their personality. They were especially intrigued by the new needles and specialized thread, which felt like a significant \"level up\" from the basic tools we had used previously. Your gift made them feel like true artisans.\r\n\r\nThe clock is ticking! Our current mission is the Mother's Day Deadline. Students are pouring their hearts into finishing their hoops so they can present a handmade, professional-quality gift to their moms. These projects are moving from the classroom to the home, carrying with them all the hard work and new skills your generosity made possible.","fullyFundedDate":1769177465677,"projectUrl":"project/embroidering-our-horizons-help-us-learn/9981474/","projectTitle":"Embroidering our Horizons: Help us Learn a New Hobby!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. David","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9277817_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764454300785","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9277817"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12727","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":123,"numTeachers":15,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":38,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":50,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"8.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":90.0,"schoolId":12727,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rise Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rise Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/alvin-independent-school-district/assets-academy/12727"}
