My students are loving their whisper phones. The use them to practice reading to themselves in order to improve their prosody, so they don't read choppy or like a robot. The sand timers are a hit, as well. My students love timing one another as the read. The timers help them keep their reading partners accountable to improving their reading rate. Both of these items that your donations funded will help my students strive to reach their End-of-Year reading fluency goals.\r\n\r\nTwenty-three students use a lot of pencils, which means we use our pencil sharpeners a lot as well. The sharpeners you funded are perfect for littles like mine, because they sharpen quickly and with very little force.
